Important information regarding Online Banking!

Security is a growing issue with Online Banking.  We are implementing changes to protect your personal information and to assure you that you have accessed the Rolfe State Bank site. 

When you access Online Banking, you will get one window for your user ID, and a new window for your password.  The first time you use this service you will see a security enrollment page.  You will be given an image and will be prompted to create a phrase for this image.  Use only numbers and letters, no special characters (you can change the image later in the process).

You will be given three challenge questions.  To change the question, just click the drop down box and choose one of the pre-defined questions.  In your answers remember not to use any special characters.

The last field will give you the option to register your computer.  If you are working on your own personal computer, you may register it to allow our system to recognize you the next time you log on.  Registering your computer will allow you to log in to Online Banking without answering any of your challenge questions.  If you are using a public computer, please choose the "do not register it" option.  Press the submit button to save.  This will complete the set-up process for your Online Banking accounts.

After you complete the initial set-up, you will notice a few differences as you access Online Banking.  If you are signing in using a registered computer, you will enter your user ID on one page and then you will see your image and phrase.  If this is the image and phrase you selected, please continue to enter your password.  The image and phrase that you have selected authenticates the Rolfe State Bank website.  If you do not recognize the image and phrase, please do not enter your password.   Either close the window and start over or call the bank at 712-848-3480.

If you are signing in using an unregistered computer, you will sign in with your user ID on the first page and then you be asked to answer one of your challenge questions at random.  One question must be correctly answered before moving on.  At this time, you will also get a chance to register your computer.  Again, please do so only if you are working on your personal computer.  Never register a public computer.  Once your question has been answered correctly, you will see your image and phrase and be prompted for your password.

Any time after your initial set-up, you can change your image, phrase and/or challenge questions and answers by going to Services>Security Maintenance.  Once in Security Maintenance, you can select Change Image/Phrase or Change Questions/Answers.  The changes will take effect immediately and you will see your new image and phrase and/or questions and answers the next time you log on.

When you use an unregistered computer, you will have five chances to answer your questions correctly.  The system is set up to give two chances each on the first and second questions and one chance on the last question.  If the questions are not answered correctly, you will be locked out of your accounts.  The bank will have to reset your account and the security enrollment must be completed again.
